Sending a off a Remedios Sin Fronteras/
Remedios Without Borders shipment!
About: Dana L Woodruff of Dandelioness Herbals I'm an auntie, community herbalist, union member, menstrual health educator, part of the Angelica Care Collective, and core member of Central Vermont Showing Up for Racial Justice. For 11 years I've coordinated the Remedios Sin Fronteras/Remedies Without Borders project, making herbal remedies for humanitarian aid organizations in the Sonoran desert.  Remedies are distributed to those crossing the Sonoran desert, those who have been deported, and those presenting themselves for asylum, as well as long-term volunteers and residents resisting militarization of their communities.   My ancestors are from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England and I was raised in Maine (Abenaki land), where I started gardening with Calendula and making medicine with Dandelion and Nettles 23 years ago. I like to bring footbath tubs to organizing meetings and share homemade elixirs at protests as a street medic, and am particularly drawn to gently healing and fiercely protective herbs such as Rose and Yarrow. For writings, plant photos, and more info about projects, please see Dandelioness Herbals on Facebook, Etsy, Instagram, and Blogspot.  I use she/her and they/them pronouns.
